Minor to be charged for murder
Following the brazen murder on Wagner’s Lane on Thursday evening, police say they now have the gunman in custody. According to police, three hours after the shooting, the prime suspect, a fourteen-year-old boy, was turned in to police by his father at the Queen St. station. Up to news time tonight, the minor had not yet been charged. The minor’s companion, another teenager, has also been detained and, according to police sources, might be charged as an accomplice in the crime. Eyewitnesses told News 5 that the suspected shooter had been in an argument with the victim, thirty-four-year-old David Ramirez, earlier in the day. They then allege that he returned to Ramirez’s home, pulled a gun out of his pants and fired the fatal shot.
