Police in high speed chase with car jacker
For months now, Toyota Camrys and Corollas have been staples for car jackers. It’s been suspected that there was a set master key changing hands for quite some time and apparently, there was. On Wednesday, twenty-three year old Kareem Fuller parked his 1984 Corolla in front of his house on Neal Pen Road, but when he checked on the car a few minutes later, was shocked to see someone else driving away with his car. Fuller called the police who caught up with the car on Vernon Street. A chase ensued that ended with the stolen car crashing into an iron fence. The driver, an unidentified male, got away, but police did confiscate a set of master keys found in the ignition. Up to news time tonight, the would-be car thief had not been found. Unfortunately for Fuller, his car was extensively damaged but hopefully he’s insured.
