Taiwan donates musical instruments

Taiwanese Ambassador to Belize Charles Tsai was busy today, making donations to Belize. This afternoon he presented equipment valued at close to eight thousand dollars to Prime Minister Said Musa.

“A large quantity of footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, some musical instruments, as well as a couple wheelchairs. It’s a very generous donation from Taiwan. As usual, we are most grateful.

The sporting equipment will be donated to the various primary schools around the country. The musical instruments, we’ll try and identify one good school that is interested in promoting music in their school, to set up a school band that will last for years and generations to come as we continue to train our young people in music.”

Musa says like this morning’s presentation of “The Visible Hand” the equipment is symbolic of the ties of friendship both countries share.
