Shooting Victim Escapes Grave Injury During Lakeview Street Attack
Thirty-three-year-old Osbert Gentle narrowly escaped with his life on Monday night after being shot in the neck during a brazen attack in front of his home on Lakeview Street. Gentle, who lives in the vicinity of Banak Street, was accosted by a gunman who entered the alley and fired twice in his direction. One of the bullets struck him in the neck and the other almost caught a companion who was standing with Gentle near his home. Fortunately, the round that injured Gentle missed his vital organs, including his throat and spinal cord. Gentle reported to police that the attack happened around nine-fifteen p.m. and that immediately after hearing the gunshots he realized that he had been shot in the neck. He has since been treated and released from the K.H.M.H.
