Applicants invited for Ashcroft scholarships

In related news, applications are now being solicited from Belizeans for the Ashcroft International Scholarships to study business in Britain. Three scholarships are available each year to Belizean residents between seventeen and twenty-one years of age and will lead to a bachelors degree in business administration from Anglia Polytechnic University in Chelmsford, England. The scholarships include full tuition, room, board and travel expenses for the three to four years of study, after which the graduate must return to work in Belize for a minimum of five years. Final date for applications is December seventh and the successful applicant will commence studies in September of 2002. Forms are available from the headmasters of local colleges or from Michael Coye at the Belize Bank in Belize City.
