“I had this urge to be able to share my life, what happened to me and the challenges I had and to be able to share this amazing experience that I had with other people. The reason I wrote it is I thought that I can inspire never to give up in their life, that life is a journey, not a destination.”

Holder’s life journey led him to the Leo Bradley Library in Belize City where his book was launched this morning. He has over fifty years in the life insurance industry and has enjoyed a distinguished career, having served in Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Belize. One Man’s Journey is said to be engaging and heartfelt.

“I am sharing more or less not just my job, career. I am sharing more or else the challenges I faced from time to time, how I picked myself up and moved on. So it’s from failure to success, and today I am very proud of what I have become.”

Holder, born in Guyana, is now a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago. He journeyed to Belize many years ago. His pioneering role planted the seed for present-day ordinary life insurance operations in Belize. His vision built an immovable foundation for Sagicor Life’s presence and dominance in Belize’s insurance marketplace. Holder’s book details, in some two hundred pages, his journey from struggle to success to significance and now to leaving a legacy.

“I came to Belize knowing nobody here, not a single soul. And I built an organization which today many insurance companies are today now seeking the opportunity to come and do business with.  Every person has potential, including yourself. You could become whatever you want to become by putting yourself in that situation tot dream, dream but whatever your dream you must taking action on it.”

The book is available at the library and online. It sells for forty dollars Belize. Hipolito Novelo, News Five.
