Embassies cancel independence parties
On yesterday’s newscast, we reported on the fair organised by the Mexican Embassy at Memorial Park in Belize City. And while that event continues to run nightly, the ambassador has announced that as an expression of solidarity and mourning with the people and government of the United States, the independence celebration scheduled for Sunday night at the embassy has been cancelled. For the same reason, the annual party held by the embassies of the Central American nations in Belize has also been cancelled.
