3 Persons Chopped in the South

Three persons, including a minor are recovering from chop wounds after they were reportedly attacked by a man they know. Police report that on Monday evening around six-thirty, forty-eight-year-old Victor Tzub and twenty-four-year-old Adan Rodriguez Melgar were at their home in San Roman Village, Stann Creek District, when a man they know attacked them with a machete. Melgar was chopped in the left and right side of his head. Tzub sustained a large cut wound to his face and head. After attacked the men, the unnamed assailant made his way to the home of sixteen-year-old Benjamin Hul in the same village. He inflicted a single chop wound to Hul’s left palm. All three persons were treated and transferred to the Southern Regional Hopsital. Tzub and Hul were later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further medical attention. Police have detained one person pending charges.
