Jones gets her mojo back in Goodwill Games
Superstar Marion Jones made headlines last month when she failed to win the hundred-metre sprint at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton, Canada. But last night in Brisbane, Australia at the Goodwill Games, Marion got her sweet revenge when she beat her Ukrainian nemesis, Zhanna Pintusevich-Block in convincing fashion. Here’s how is looked.

“Pintusevich-Block beats Marion Jones out of the starting block, but Marion now comes back to pass her. Here’s Marion Jones, marvellous Marion.
Out of the blocks slowly, gets a kiss from Pintusevich-Block, a rivalry that building and Marion Jones wins this round and takes the Goodwill Games gold.
Question: You dominated this event some many times, forty-two straight finals, Zhanna comes in and wins the world championship, has a rivalry developed between you two? Is it good for the sport, is it good for you?
Marion Jones
“I think it’s wonderful for the sport. I mean people don’t realise, but we run against each other once a week for the past five years, so we get to know each other really well. I’ve always told it that these group of women that I run against every week are getting faster and faster, and they need credit when credit’s due and she pulled off a great one at world championships.”
