Salesman robbed in Belize City

A robbery in broad daylight on a busy Belize City street has left one employee several thousand dollars short of company money and personal property. Sales representative for Grace Kennedy Limited Angel Espat Jr., says he went to Brad’s Store at the corner of Zericote and Vernon Streets to collect money for the company and after doing so, began walking back to his car. However, two men stopped him halfway there and one pulled out a handgun, demanding money. The thieves got away with an order book, a receipt book, a company catalogue, some invoices, a check for thirteen thousand, three hundred dollars and Espat’s personal items valued at close to a thousand dollars. At news time tonight, no arrests have been made.
