Mini-sub searches for body in Blue Hole
A storm may be brewing to the east, but that has not deterred the family of the late Doctor Ruben Delgado from trying to recover his body from the bottom of the Blue Hole. Delgado became separated from his fellow divers on August fifth as they were ascending from a depth of one hundred and thirty feet in the world famous formation at Lighthouse Reef, and is believed to have drowned. The father of the forty-three year old Miami cardiologist has been in Belize since the accident and has secured the services of a mini sub and crew to find his son’s body. Reports are that remote cameras have been sent to the bottom of the four hundred foot deep shaft, but that neither Delgado’s corpse nor that of the other four divers believed to have perished in the Blue Hole in the last quarter century have yet been found.
