$10,000 For Anyone Who Can Help Solve Marcia Talbert’s Murder

Marcia Talbert & Mansa Baptist

Forty-one-year-old Marcia Talbert, an employee of Cerberus Security, a subsidiary of Bowen and Bowen Limited, lost her life on the morning of June sixteenth when a gunman snuck onto the compound at Crystal Bottling Company and opened fire.  Also injured during the shooting incident was Mansa Baptist, a colleague of hers who was shot in the back.  In the wake of the murder police have been unable to crack the case.  On Thursday, Bowen and Bowen Limited announced that a ten thousand dollar reward is being offered for anyone with information that leads to an arrest and subsequent conviction.  It is the company’s hope that someone will come forward to assist with the investigation by sharing what they know.  News Five spoke with John Palacio, Bowen and Bowen’s PR Coordinator.

“We are going to every wavelength to try to get to the bottom of the situation.  Families were actually affected by this, Bowen & Bowen, as a company, was also affected by this and we want for everyone to be safe.  So what we’ve done is actually now [offered] a ten thousand dollar reward to anyone who actually leads us to the incarceration of the perpetrator or perpetrators who committed this heinous crime upon these people.”

“Now insofar as any other initiatives to try to get people to come forward with information, aside from the ten thousand dollar reward, what can they do to share that information with you guys, either 922-TIPS or any other form of information sharing?”

John Palacio

“Yes, we are actually partnering with Crime Stoppers Belize.  All they need to do is call their hotline, 0-800-922-TIPS and of course it’s totally anonymous, we wouldn’t know who is the person who is actually giving the information, as long as we get the information and these people are actually brought to justice.”
