B.T.L. C.E.O. Rochus Schreiber Resigns
There is a huge development tonight regarding the top job at Belize Telemedia Limited. And that is that Rochus Schreiber has tendered his resignation as the Chief Executive Officer for B.T.L. Schreiber’s resignation was confirmed through an “employee bulletin” which was issued by B.T.L.’s Human Resources Department. The bulletin states that Schreiber, and we quote verbatim, “has decided to pursue other personal interest and reunite with his family in the United Kingdom at the end of September.” He is leaving the company after being at the helm for two and a half year. Now, Schreiber official took up the post in April 2017 and was reportedly earning two hundred and ten thousand U.S. dollars, excluding perks such as transportation, housing, internet and so forth as well as allowances. B.T.L. bulletin says that in line with the company’s succession plan B.T.L. intends to fill the post with a qualified Belizean. Schreiber’s resignation comes forty eight hours after News Five broke the story that B.T.L. reportedly owes the government more than fifty million dollars in general sales tax.
