Driver in fatal crash charged
Charges have been brought against the driver of a car that crashed early Monday morning the Northern Highway, killing two of his own passengers. Noel Gonzalez has been arraigned on two counts each of manslaughter by negligence, and causing death by careless conduct as well as four counts of negligent harm and one of driving without due care and attention. At around 2:30 Monday morning Gonzalez drove his vehicle into a van that was parked on the shoulder of the road near mile 31. Passengers in the car, Roberto Herrera and Jose Luis Flores were killed while the two other passengers received minor injuries.
