SIB Grants 3 Full Scholarships

Three Belizeans have received full scholarships awarded by the Statistical Institute of Belize in partnerships with the Inter-American Development Bank and the University of Belize. Scholarships for Bachelor’s degree in Statistics programme were awarded to Armando Shal, employed at the Ministry of Health and to Ronald Orellana, a recent graduate of the U.B.’s Associate’s degree in Mathematics. The third scholarship for a certificate in Geographic Information System was awarded to Dorian Enriquez, an employee of the San Ignacio Town Council. The scholarships for studies at U.B. cover the full cost of tuition and fees and have a value of some forty thousand dollars.  The programmes are designed to meet the capacity building needs of the National Statistical System.
