Freak Storm Wreaks Havoc in Peini
A freak storm tore through Punta Gorda on Sunday night, tottering a number of trees in town and causing a power outage. According to several reports from that municipality, the severe weather was at its strongest between eight o’clock and nine o’clock last evening, damage several structures near the newly-built stalls at the P.G. market. Along with strong winds came torrential rainfall. The gale force winds also collapsed a few zinc fences in town.
