Four arrested for robbery of shop
Four men have been arrested and charged with the weekend robbery of a Belize City Chinese grocery. Xie Li He reported to police that on Saturday three dark skinned men entered her shop on Sixth Street in King’s Park and ordered some bottled water. While serving them, Li was hit in the head with a handgun and then robbed of eight hundred dollars by the men who sped off in a Nissan vehicle. The car was intercepted later that evening while travelling along the Western Highway. It’s occupants, twenty-five year old Kirk Thompson, Ronald Cox, twenty-two and Lionel Henry, seventeen, were arrested and charged. Also charged with abetment to robbery was the driver Leslie Lamb, a twenty-four year old teacher of Aloe Vera Street in Belize City.
