Three Weeks After Still No Arrest for Yanira Novelo’s Murder

Police have yet to capture the culprit who cold-heartedly and viciously murdered the twenty-three-year-old mother of three, Yanira Novelo. It has been three weeks since her body was discovered in Orange Walk Town. A post mortem examination revealed that Novelo had been strangled to death. Her four-year-old son who was with her was also attacked. He was stabbed in the abdomen and found wandering the San Lorenzo Road later that evening. Novelo and her baby boy were attacked after they had visited a credit union as she was preparing to celebrate her son’s birthday but a motive for her murder is still undetermined.  The family, today, is calling on investigators to capture the criminal and provide the family with justice and closure. The Novelo family believes that the investigation has gone cold and is requesting the authorities to do everything possible to solve the case.
