Maxboro Resident is Remanded for Attempted Murder
A Maxboro resident, who shot his former neighbour at a bus shed, is tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison. Kareem Harvey appeared before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson and was charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm upon Jordan Murrillo, a resident of Sand Hill Village, Belize District. Murillo claims that on June third, he was riding his bicycle on the Phillip Goldson Highway heading to Crooked Tree when he saw an individual under a bus shed. He claims that as he approached the man, he recognized him as Harvey who fired shots at him. Murrillo said he attempted to flee, but fell and Harvey stood over him and fired a shot as he was lying on his back. Murrillo managed to make it home and after weeks on the run, Harvey was finally arrested and taken to court.
