Hurricane rehab contracts signed
Three contracts were signed this morning for hurricane rehabilitation projects. The infrastructural works, totalling five point five million dollars, include the paving of Coney Drive in Belize City, construction of a new municipal pier in San Pedro and environmental improvements in that town and the nearby island of Caye Caulker. Funds are being accessed from the I.D.B.’s forty million dollar emergency rehabilitation facility. The contracts were signed by Minister of Works Henry Canton with Mid South Investments for road building, Johnston International for the pier, and Rojas, Schulz and Nelder for environmental restoration.
