Faber Confident in Win for UDP Leadership Convention

Patrick Faber will be holding an endorsement convention for the Collet in early September.  He is also the Deputy Leader of the United Democratic Party and his hope is to lead the party and succeed Dean Barrow. The U.D.P.’s date for its National Leadership Convention is Sunday, February ninth, 2020. It will take place at the Belize Civic Center where Faber will go head to head with Belmopan Area Representative John Saldivar. Faber has about five months to ensure that he convinces the majority of five hundred and sixty delegates to emerge as the victor. Faber is confident that he will defeat his Belmopan colleague.

“I think that we are at the stage where I now have the majority of support in terms of those non elected colleagues as well as those elected colleagues. I am looking forward the kind of win that will not only see me meet the mark, pass the post but also see a United Democratic Party under  a new leader elect and eventually a new leader when it is that times comes. Minister Saldivar and I are friends. We are long standing colleagues. We have worked over the years to build the United Democratic Party along with others of course. We are not going to break up this party so those who are hoping and prepared and looking forward to that kind of thing can relax because it is not going to happen.”
