No arrest in Quiroz shooting in Santa Elena

San Ignacio police are also looking for the gunman who let off a barrage of bullets at three persons inside the yard of a house on Perez Street in Santa Elena Town. Eighteen-year-old Arden Quiroz was hit in his right arm and is now recuperating. Information reaching News Five is that the incident may be linked to the murder of Nelson Flores. While no arrests have been made reference this case, today Superintendent Jemmott told us that there could be a possible link but they have yet to gather evidence to prove it.

“It might be but there are no indications to actually confirm this. I could say that the person is stable. We have gotten a statement from him but he cannot conclusively say who was the person that shot him. He does not know that person. Again we continue to investigate that matter as well.”
