Graham Creek still needs your help!
As you saw in our story, Graham Creek Government School got some donations to kick off the school year. The donations were made possible by the business community and other non-profit groups. But as you’ve seen, the school’s needs go beyond basic supplies and every little bit counts. On Monday, Principal Jose Cuc also made an additional call for more help for the school.
Jose Cuc, Principal, Graham Creek Government School
“Some of the basic needs right now, the heat is on and we need fans. I don’t know what kind of fans – maybe which work with solar. We need batteries also for our system to run because we are trying to move into technology and move with the rest of the country. So, that is the reason why we are sacrificing with you to get the rest of what we need to get for the school.”
Another item that the school also needs is a weed cutter or lawn-mower to help with school grounds maintenance. We’ve been able to secure a fifty-percent discount for one of the machines with Universal Hardware. If you can assist to help the school cover the costs, you can get in touch with us at 672-1174.
