Citizens celebrate the 10th with gusto

The citizen’s parade took off after the official ceremonies at the Memorial Park. This year, it did not appear as grand as previous years. Some government ministers walked the parade route including D.P.M. Patrick Faber, as it meandered through the principal streets of the City. The new Queen of the Bay, Kimberly Santos, waved to the crowds but we could not tell if the usual number of visiting Belizean Americans arrived to join in the celebration but a throng of citizens celebrated with gusto behind their favourite band. The floats were mounted by a few government departments and some businesses. Here are the highlights.
