President of Dominican Republic arrives for visit

President of the Dominican Republic, Hipolito Mejia, arrived in Belize this evening for a one-day visit. Mejia was met at the Philip Goldson International Airport by Prime Minister Said Musa and their motorcade then passed through the principal streets of Belize City. The president heads a delegation of ten. On Wednesday talks will focus primarily on tourism and trade, with two formal agreements slated for signature. After a bit of sightseeing and a few minutes with the press, Mejia and his party will depart in the late afternoon.
