Still No Arrests in Belmopan Double Murder
Investigation continues in the Belmopan double murder of minors Gruver Delgado and Herman Valladarez. The two cousins were gunned down after delivering freshly made tortillas. While several persons of interests are being sought by the police, there have been no arrests so far; neither has the murder weapon been recovered. But have the suspects escaped across the border? Here’s Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett with an update.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“We are still investigating that matter. There is no new development. We are looking at several leads which we have been following; however, those persons whom are the suspects are still at large and have not yet been found.”

“Do police suspect that they may have already crossed the border into Melchor?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Not to our knowledge; however, as is customary, whenever we believe that any crime has been committed by foreigners, our neighbours are usually contacted with that information as well.”
