K.H.M.H. Celebrating 24 Years of Service

This year, the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital is celebrating twenty-four years of service. The national referral hospital began operations in 1995 and since then, services have expanded and infrastructure has improved.  But the K.H.M.H.A. has had its share of controversy but C.E.O. Michelle Cox-Hoare says that the hospital has come a long way thanks to the employees.

“Structurally, we were able to expand our services. We’ve introduced adult and pediatric neonatal intensive care units for the hospital. We have upgraded our emergency services. We’ve upgraded our labor and delivery service, our surgical services. For this year, our twenty-fourth anniversary, we were able to upgrade our waiting area for the accident and emergency waiting room. Those are some of the structural achievements that people can see. Behind the scenes we’ve been working on building our systems and strengthening our work processes and upgrading staff and doing different things that benefit not only the employer but the employees as well.”
