More water problems for city
There were more problems at Belize Water Services Limited today as recurring difficulties with its old twenty-four inch mains left the city dry most of the day. A series of breaks at mile sixteen on the Northern Highway has challenged the company’s technicians over the last several days as swampy terrain has caused muddy water to enter the system, which must then be flushed out. A number of pipes are being replaced and a B.W.S.L. spokesman says they hope to have pressure back by 7:00 tonight.
