Musician releases new CD

Twenty-two year old Dalton Perez has for years collaborated with different singing groups, but now has decided to do something on his own. Perez’s solo debut album has recently been completed and he hopes that music lovers are ready for the vibes on his twelve track CD.

“The name of the album is Challenges of Life, The Return of Dal P. Why the return of Dal P. is because most Belizean people that follow local music in Belize would know that it is not today that I deal with music. Basically the main theme, Challenges of Life is a summary of the main changes I went through in my life. And I’m sure that Belizeans out there can relate to the songs and the concept of the album because they might be going through challenges or changes in their lives too.”

“Basically it’s dance hall based and it’s that dance hall type of style. I also have reggae music on it too, but actually it’s a song that’s entitled “Where Shall I Be” that’s in reggae style. Actually I have a mixture or combination of hip hop, dance hall and a bit of jazz at the same time.”

The CD is scheduled to be released on the twenty-eighth of April and will be available at most record stores for twenty-five dollars.
