Traffic accident victim identified
The identity has been established of the man killed yesterday on the Western Highway. He is sixty-three year old Hugh Gillett of Albert Street West in Belize City. Gillett, employed as a watchman by Bowen and Bowen, died after he was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle near mile three on the Western Highway. The truck driver, forty-three year old Anthony Morris, told police that Gillett was riding erratically and swerved into the side of his vehicle. Morris was detained by police and released this morning without being charged.
