Peyre is the Man for the Job – Patrick Faber

Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte is also running for the position of chairman of the United Democratic Party.  He is being backed by incumbent presiding officer Alberto August.  Both Saldivar and Faber joined forces against Peyrefitte in Port Loyola, but there is no love lost as Faber strongly believes that Peyrefitte is the right for chairmanship of the U.D.P.

“For me, anybody who forms the government would be foolish not to embrace Michael Peyrefitte.  I think he would make a good chairman, I think there are things he would need to improve on but by and large he would fit the bill well for the party’s chairman.  You have to remember now he must chair the national party council, must chair the national convention, must chair the central executive, must be the party boss and I certainly see Peyrefitte fitting in that capacity.”
