ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Shortly before ten p.m. Orange Walk Police were called to the Northern Regional Hospital where upon arrival, they observed two male persons, namely: Jose Tam, eighteen years and Artemio Yam, twenty-two years. What the police know so far is that the older of the Yam, Artemio, was driving his black motorcycle towards the direction of San Lazaro Village from August Pine Ridge when he seemingly lost control, we believe—from the initial information that we received—causing both to be injured. Jose Yam received the more severe part of the injuries because he ended up with his left foot below the knee being amputated during the accident. Police are investigating this matter.”
