Still No ID for OW Man Found Dead in Cemetery

Last Thursday, the body of a Hispanic man was discovered between two graves in a cemetery in Orange Walk Town. The person, believed to be in his mid-twenties, had been bludgeoned to death with a headstone. The deceased was shirtless and clothed in only a jeans pants and boots. It’s been five days since the discovery was made and police say that they still have not been able to determine the identity of the person. ACP Joseph Myvett, who heads the National Crimes Investigation Branch, told the media today that there is no missing person’s report that fits the description of the deceased and the police need the public’s assistance.

“They observed the body of a Hispanic male lying between two graves with injuries to his head and face. Also on top of him was a concrete cross which is about eighteen by thirty in length. As a result, the scene was processed and what the police know so far from the information gathered, is that someone entered the cemetery and observed the body of this male person between two graves. There are several tattoos to the body which at this point in time still remains unidentified. The entire area was canvassed and Orange Walk, per se, doesn’t have any missing person fitting that description. I believe images of those tattoos were shared with the media. At this point in time, it is still an ongoing investigation. From what we know the deceased seems to be in his mid-twenties more or less and his approximate time of death could have been earlier that morning, pretty early in the morning.”
