Medical school constructs new campus
In San Pedro this afternoon Prime Minister Said Musa broke ground for a new campus for St. Matthew’s Medical University. The offshore U.S. operated med. school has been operating out of rented premises since 1997 and the construction represents a significant commitment to the institution’s future in Belize. Seven Belizean students, all on scholarships, attend St. Matthews along with a much larger number of U.S. nationals.
