Taxi driver is latest lotto winner

He didn’t rob a bank, but one Belize City man made off with fifty-five thousand dollars…. and the score was one hundred percent legal. The winner of the March seventh Lotto Draw, Winston Denton had no idea that the quick pick ticket he bought at Peoples Drug Store on New Road would contain the winning numbers. Today News Five caught up with Denton, a taxi driver, who says he’s just going to take it one day at a time.

“Well I buy every now and then. I don’t buy every Wednesday and Saturday, but every now and then I buy a quick pick.”

“What do you plan to do with the money?”

“Save it.”

“You’ll save and invest?”

Winston Denton

“Yeah, make it grow or something like that.”

Jose Sanchez

“You have any dreams? Anything to use the money for?”

Winston Denton

“Well not really, not right now. I will let the money rest right now.”
