Man arrested for sex with 11 year old girl

It may be Women’s Week, but in Belize these are not good times to be a little girl. Police today released details of a case in which an eleven year old was abducted and raped a number of times over a three day period. The girl’s mother reports that her daughter left the family’s home in San Antonio in the Orange Walk District to go to Orange Walk Town. When she was found in that municipality three days later, the child told police that when she arrived in Orange Walk she met one Adolfo Teul and he asked her to go with him to a hotel where they engaged in sexual intercourse. The next day the pair travelled to Belize City where they spent two more nights in a hotel. Teul, a twenty-year-old labourer of San Antonio, has been charged with the crime of unlawful carnal knowledge. Other details, such as whether the victim and perpetrator previously knew each other have not been released.
