Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to Build Mosque
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will be breaking ground tomorrow on a parcel of land along the George Price Highway for the construction of a mosque. The group of Muslims has undertaken several community outreach activities. President Naveed Mangla says that the mosque will further cement the community and foster a greater relationship with the public.

“It will be a place of worship which will be able to occupy two hundred worshippers. Then we will have four small minarets and one small dome which could be seen in this picture behind me and on my right also. Then there has a one missionary residence and an office and it has parking space of sixteen cars. This is the first phase of it and we wish to build more things in Belize, not only in Belize City but wherever our missions in Belize are established. That particular time when we established communities there was a lot of terrorism going on every now and then. People were a little bit hesitant but through like you said the humanitarian services people are now able to recognise that these Muslims were different and they are here for the betterment of Belizeans. So they had welcomed us and we look forward to making more difference here in the country.”
