Baptist Family Claims Police Harassment

The Baptist family from the Police Street area in Belize City is up in arms tonight after police officers barged into their houses just after six this morning. The officers were reportedly looking for drugs and by the time they had concluded the search, Denise Flowers says that they came up empty-handed. That did not stop them from taking Hubert and Brandon Baptist into custody. Flowers told News Five today that the authorities have been harassing members of the family, who according to her, are not engaged in gang activity. Here’s what she had to say.
