Joseph Myvett

An Orange Walk man has been charged for a double fatal RTA that happened over three years ago. According to police, Martin Ramos was arrested and charged with two counts of causing death by careless conduct. The charges stem from an accident that happened in October 2016 along the August Pine Ridge and San Felipe Roads.  Ramos was reportedly driving his Ford pickup truck when he crashed into the motorcycle carrying the two men.  ACP Joseph Myvett gives us the details.

“Sir, are you able to tell us why the long delay in bringing charges from 2016 up to now?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“There were a number of work that had to have been done so the file was sent to the D.P.P. and sent back for further directives which were eventually carried out before she made that decision.”
