Police Makes Four-Pound Weed Bust at Checkpoint
Four men have been slapped with drug charges after they were busted with over four pounds of weed. According to police, around two-thirty in the afternoon of January third, police were carrying out a routine checkpoint on the George Price Highway where they searched a car. “Roaring Creek police were on a vehicular check point between miles forty-six and forty-seven on the George Price Highway where they conducted a search on a blue Toyota Corolla car with a Benque Viejo license plate which at the time was being driven at the time by nineteen-year-old Walter Castillo. Also present at the time were twenty-one-year-old Santos Castillo; thirty-year-old Victor Lluege and thirty-one-year-old Adam Hernandez Marroquin. During the search, police discovered a black bag containing two parcels of suspected cannabis, when weighed amounted to one thousand nine hundred and seventy six grams. So far, police have arrested and charged all four persons for the crime of possession with the intent to supply a controlled drug.”
