Trouble in Football Paradise?
Is trouble brewing once again in the football world? News Five is in receipt of a correspondence in which the chairman of the Belize District Football Association, William Moguel, is being asked to recall what is described as an illegal extraordinary congress convened by the Football Federation of Belize and the executive committee of the BDFA. According to the letter, the gathering which was called to order by the F.F.B. Secretariat and the BDFA executive committee only saw the attendance of four of its fourteen congress members which is less than twenty-five percent of the membership of the district association. The decision is said to be unconstitutional, as it is a breach of the statutes of the BDFA. Following a meeting today at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex, it is expected that Chairman Moguel will formally respond to the concerns by the end of the week.
