John Briceño Will Not Apologize for Comments Made
Aside from proof, the Attorney General is demanding that Briceño apologizes to the Government, the United Democratic Party and the country for the comments made. But that is not about to happen, according to Briceño. In terms of the lawsuit, while Briceño did not mention names, the A.G. says that this widens the scope of the lawsuit against the Opposition Leader. And unlike Briceño, Shyne Barrow through his campaign page on Facebook directly accused Briceño. Briceño states than instead, G.O.B. should be saying that that landings need to stop.

“The AG is demanding an apology. Would you apologize?”
John Briceño, Leader of the Opposition
“For what?”
Hipolito Novelo
“For the comments you made, the allegations against the government and cabinet ministers.”
John Briceño
“As I said, for what?”
Hipolito Novelo
“Drug plane landings…”
John Briceño
“I don’t see anything to apologize about.”
Hipolito Novelo
“In terms of you not calling any specific names, he says that you are opening yourself wider because it can be him, it can be the Prime Minister. It can be anybody.”
John Briceño
“He would know if it is him or not. I think what is important is that obviously we hit a raw nerve and that is why they are so concerned. I think what they suppose to be doing is telling us this is the plane how we are going to stop drugs plane from landing in Belize. That is what we want to hear from him.”
Hipolito Novelo
“Shyne Barrow, the Prime Minister’s son, on his Facebook page for his campaign said that it is you who is landing these drug planes. I am not sure if you read or saw that.”
John Briceño
“I am not going to dignify Shyne Barrow with an answer.”
Reporter
“It should be a ‘no.’
John Briceño
“You know better. Everybody knows. Everybody knows that I have never been involved in any such activity, never did never will in my life. So I don’t want to dignify Shyne Barrow with an answer.”
