“I understand that you can still get up and move around quite well.”

Agnes Quilter

“Oh yes, praise God. They don’t have to lead me anywhere. They don’t want me to do anything, they want me to sit down like a big baby around them.”

Jacqueline Woods

“And you’re an independent woman right. You like to get up and more around on your own. What do you like to do?”

Agnes Quilter

“I like to cook, I like to take care of children and I like to see that the place is kept clean in the home.”

“All my life, I keep myself in the right way, do everything good, no harm, no wickedness, pray to my god above, ask him to give me the strength, the understanding and the patience.

Quilter was one hundred and seven at the time of her death. She is survived by six children, thirty-nine grandchildren, ninety great grandchildren, and fifty great great grandchildren.
