Where are the Drugs? Police Still Searching

A drug plane landed in an area in Crooked Tree Village, Belize District, earlier in the week. When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, the HS 125 Hawker jet had been emptied and the plane was intact. According to Commissioner Williams, the drug plane was originally to land in Mexico, but was diverted to Belize where drug traffickers whisked the drugs away. Williams says that police are still in the area searching for the drugs.

“We are still focusing in the area. We note that there is a river that runs in that area and goes all the way into Mexico side. There is a possibility that that river may have been used but we are still in the area. We are still looking. We are still hopeful that we will come up with something.”

“At this time, I don’t want to say yes. I don’t want to say no. We are still hopeful that it is still is and that we can find it if it is.”
