Legendary Basketball Player Kobe Bryant Dies in a Helicopter Crash
Lakers and basketball superstar Kobe Bryant is dead. The NBA MVP, his thirteen-year-old daughter, six friends and the pilot were all killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday. The helicopter carrying the nine persons is reported to have encountered heavy fog when it crashed and burst into flames in the hills above Calabasas in California, U.S.A. Bryant, a renowned athlete, had a twenty-year illustrious career with the Lakers. One media reports, “The Lakers legend was one of the most prolific and sustained forces in NBA history, reaching a level of dominance that defined his remarkable career.” The world all over, including his fans right here at home in Belize, is mourning the untimely death of the basketball athlete who won five championships and multiple MVP titles. Over the years, Bryant dabbled in other areas such as entertainment where he won an Oscar Award; publishing and philanthropy. Back in 2012, the athlete vacationed in Belize towards the end of August, early September. He spent some of his time zip-lining and hitting the ocean to dive.
