Robbers Target La Popular Bakery on Cemetery Road

On Tuesday night, a pair of robbers targeted La Popular Bakery on Cemetery Road in Belize City. Reports are that around seven-thirty p.m., two men, posing as customers, entered the bakery; they both wore caps possibly to conceal their identities.  The men then approached cashier Esmeralda Sanchez and held her at gunpoint. The gunman demanded money, while the other handed Sanchez a blue bag in which she was told to put the money. Fearing for her life, Sanchez complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money. Police have obtained surveillance footage and are investigating this latest crime.
