30-Year Sentence for Valentine Baptist
In the Supreme Court, Justice Colin Williams also handed down sentencing for Valentine Baptist who was convicted for the murder of Devin Parham. Valentine was sentenced to thirty years with effect of December 2019 when he was found guilty. Due to the time he was spent behind bars, Baptist is looking at twenty-six years and seven more months in prison. Baptist opened fire on Devin Parham as he walked on Cemetery Road on July sixth, 2016 along with a cousin. Devin sustained multiple gunshot wounds and Baptist was arrested after he threw a pistol into a yard on Dean Street.
