N.T.U.C.B. Gets Permission to Protest on Thursday
The N.T.U.C.B. has made six demands for the government to meet before the general elections are called. One of those demands is an immediate launch of an independent investigation into alleged wrongdoing by former Minister of National Security John Saldivar and all other named public officials, public servants and individuals. The demonstration leaves Constitution Park at ten o’clock and ends at Memorial Parks for final remarks. President of the N.T.U.C.B. Marvin Mora says that no longer can the country have crucial governance issues not properly addressed.
Marvin Mora, President, N.T.U.C.B.
“As representatives of workers across the land we cannot continue to sit and view these little situations, these issues that we know exist that for some reason or the other we have not been able to pin down and address properly to continue to fester. Our deliberations have led us to understand the importance of the N.T.U.C.B. putting together a show of support in favor of our positions. We are aware that in the meantime we will have to have some open conversations with the government administration currently sitting in power but also we will have to be open to meet with the opposition and other interested groups.”
