Trio of suspected robbers arrested
Police have arrested and charged three Belizean labourers jointly with four counts of aggravated assault, burglary and robbery in connection with the jacking of a Belmopan businessman on December twelfth. They are eighteen-year old John Franklin of Plues Street and twenty-year old Frank Elijio of University Drive, both of Belize City, and Shawn Hertular, eighteen, of Stann-Creek Street in Belmopan. The three assailants got away with four thousand, eight hundred dollars cash, a cell phone and a loaded nine-millimetre pistol from Chu’s Grocery Shop on Garza Avenue.
