Crispin Jeffries is to become new COMPOL
There are reports to News Five of major changes in the Belize Police Department to take place in the next few days. While it is not confirmed, it is reported that as early as next week Police Commissioner Gerald Westby will proceed on retirement. The reports also say that the new man tagged to take over that hot seat is Assistant Commissioner Crispin Jeffries. But the changes will also affect other ranks in the police force. Reports are that Senior Superintendents James Magdaleno, Miguel Segura and David Henderson will move up as Assistant Commissioners so will Superintendents Elodio Aragon and Noel Leal. They will join Assistant Commissioner Allen Whylie who heads Administration. The shuffle is said to be a direct recommendation coming from the famed Harold Crooks’ report that made one hundred and sixty-seven proposals to improve the Department.
